Asia’s second largest inland brackish
lagoon, Chilika Bird Sanctuary comprises
of an evergreen range of hillocks at one
side of the wide expanse of blue clean water
sprawled over an area of 1,100 sq km, dotted
with numerous islands having distinctly
romantic names.

Chilika provides a spell binding scenic
natural splendor for tourists, complemented
with the sights and sounds of vivacious
birds, reptiles, amphibians and other animal
life. The best time to visit the sanctuary
is between the months of October and June
when a host of migratory birds join the
local and indigenous species.
